Blank Page - An Outsider Inside

Thursday June 27th, 2013

Blank Pages
I love blank pages!
Emptiness for me to fill with words.
Wide open to the expansion of my lines
The crookedness of my sentences.
The errors of my spelling.
Scratch, Erase
It’s as if it never existed
I like to be able to get bigger and smaller with my font depending on how I feel
One day I might be in the mood for ALL CAPS!
BOLD BLOCK LETTERS
And the next morning cursive might be all that I want escaping my pen.

An Outsider Inside
The smell of the smoke fills the air around me.
The ringing of the bells
Ding, Dong, Ding
As cattle walk together in the distance
When I’m on the outside looking in it sounds like cheering.
Every sound of the town blending together in an uproarious symphony of sound.
Bark, Bark!
Cock-a-doodle-doo!
Bahhhhhhhhhhhhh!
As people holler at each other in Shangon
A dog snarls as I run by.
I stop and surrender as he leaves.
I am a stranger to this place
An outsider allowed inside
Given this piece of treasure with each moment
Thank you
Inkomo
